A Legacy of Service & Sacrifice

Alok Charitable Trust was established in memory of Late Lt. Alok Gupta, who laid down his life in the line of duty in Jammu & Kashmir on 1st May 1988.

The Trust was created to carry forward his values of courage, compassion and service to society.

Over the years, the Trust has been actively engaged in the challenging task of socio-economic transformation in rural and underserved communities across India through education, healthcare and livelihood initiatives.

We believe that when children and communities are given access to knowledge, skills and opportunities, they can become confident, self-reliant and active contributors to society.

Dr. G P Gupta

Dr Gupta is the Chairman of the Trust. He retired from the post of Joint Commissioner, Ministry of Agriculture ,Government of India.

Dr Gupta served the Indian Government as an Agricultural Scientist for over 30 years. He had over 20 years work experience in the area of rural education and community development.

Mrs. Daya Gupta

Mrs. Gupta was working for the past two decades as a Social Worker.

She focused on the education and empowerment of women. She initiated various activities like sewing and candle making to help women in the rural community become self-reliant.

She was also been closely involved in the management of SRB Alok School, Gangagarh.

Mr Rakesh is a Commerce Graduate and runs a Printing Firm. Actively involved in art of living activities in faridabad. Did a lot of work for lepors and their kids at leprosy colony, Faridabad.

He has been working for women empowerment and Skill Development for 5 years in six villages, organizing mind relaxing sessions, enhancing skills in sewing and making them to start their own stitching centers. Also arrange free training to young males and females for 45 days with assured employment opportunities. During this period have been able to arrange job for about 4500 youth.

Shri. P P Sharma

Shri P P Sharma is Ex Joint Secretary/ Executive Director from Railway Board, Ministry of Railways, and Delhi. He worked in various capacities in Ministry of Railways.

He is Prolific Writer with 25 books published, Stories collection of of Essays on Education, Society etc. A strong Advocate for Common Schooling system (Saman Siksha) and use of Mother Tongue in Education and Administration.

He is regular columnist in Various Newspaper, Magazines suc as Jansatta (India express Group) Hans. Kathadesh, India today etc.
Neeraj Kumar Singh

He is having experience of more than 15 years of litigation, deals in different genres of cases, oscillating from Civil to Criminal to Constitutional to Intellectual Property to Corporate to Consumer to Labour, to name a few, across the spectrum of Courts, judicial as well as quasi judicial, including the Hon'ble Supreme Court.

Firmly believing in the ethos that Law is a means for and of empowermenthe along with dedicated and devoted group of Lawyers, believes in putting its best foot forward Though, litigation remains the core strength of the Firm, it has the knack and expertise in Drafting documents of the nature, like Service Contract, Non-Disclosure Agreement, Confidentiality Agreement, Sweat Agreement, and has offered opinion relating to applicability and compliance of statutory requirements to various Companies.

He is involved with various organisations set up to give free legal Aid to needy. He not only gives legal guidance to Trust but also guides on social issues.

Shri. Gautam Gauri

He is Co-founder and Executive Head of Diksha Foundation. After working for three and a half years in IT sector, Gautam decided to pursue his dream of making education accessible for underprivileged children in Bihar .

With his wide professional and academic experience of eleven years, he has made a significant contribution to the education sector in Bihar. He holds an MPhil in Education from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. He was awarded the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship for the same. He did his MBA in International Business from Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, India. His professional interests include values based education and technology in classrooms.

As a co-founder of Diksha, Gautam has been actively involved in the operations of Diksha from day one. His personal interests include swimming, trekking and meditation.
